Public explanations

All explanations are public and accessible via shareable links. Anyone with the link can view the explanation. Explanations are not tied to user accounts, but if you're signed in, we record which explanations you've viewed.

Third-party services

  • OpenRouter - Routes text you submit to open source AI models for generating explanations
  • Google - Used for account authentication
  • Polar - Handles subscription payments for Pro users

These services operate according to their own privacy policies.

Data retention

  • Explanations are stored indefinitely

Your browser extension

Our browser extension sends selected text or links to our website for processing. No data is stored locally by the extension beyond what your browser normally retains.

Your rights
